About Boston Trip

Boston Trip is an independent travel resource dedicated to helping you discover Boston, from the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall to Back Bay, Cambridge, and the day trips around New England that make sense from Boston.

What we do

We create in-depth, regularly updated travel guides covering downtown Boston and its neighborhoods — the Freedom Trail, the North End, Beacon Hill, Back Bay, and Seaport — its museums and historic sites, day trips to Salem, Cape Cod, and the rest of New England, ticketing and reservation systems, and practical planning advice for getting around by the T (MBTA). Every article is researched thoroughly and written to give you genuine, useful advice — not generic filler content.

How we earn

Boston Trip is funded through affiliate partnerships, primarily with GetYourGuide and Viator. When you book a tour or activity through one of our links, we earn a small commission at absolutely no extra cost to you. This income allows us to keep the site running, create new content, and maintain existing guides.

Our affiliate partnerships never influence our recommendations. We suggest activities and tours that we genuinely believe provide good value, regardless of commission rates.

Editorial independence

We are not sponsored by any tourism board, hotel chain, or tour operator. Our recommendations are entirely independent. If something is overpriced, overhyped, or not worth the trip, we will say so.
